i guess this song speaks about a new love coming on its way, but the guy is having time to get rid of his old life and old love.
but for me, i remember that guy that showed me how to really feel toward him,how to treat him, how to be treated in the most sweetest way..this song is so the "sad, calm and memories, stagnant feelings"
but i guess guys see in each girl the unintended love "you could be my unintended", if they keep on trying new loves, then its like playing with girls..

I rarely listen to Muse because they often overdramatize their music and the instrumentation is overpowering, but this song is perfect. The music isn't overdone and Bellamy's voice is perfect for the mood the music sets. I probably have the same story as everyone else reviewing this song; that special someone has unexpectedly swept me off my feet.

i have a lot of Muse,but get stuck on certain songs. yesterday my heart ached so bad for someone who is becoming something special in my life. i didnt "intend" for it to happen. when this came on last night on shuffle it was a little scary how it captures how i feel, especially the title. i am so so confused and want to have someone i will always love...that kind of love that consumes you, makes the day worth waking up for. the sun shines for.the world is beautiful because of. damn

I heard this song recently and I devoted it to my 5 yo autistic son.
He is the "unintended" love of my life.
I sing it to him every night since, before he goes to sleep and he always smiles and closes his eyes.

... and now I can't stop replaying it every time so often. I regret all the times I've ignored this one before because it's so, but oh so, BEAUTIFUL.
Oddly enough, it does mirror my life nowadays. I know too well who to think about right at this very moment when I listen to this song and while it makes me smile, it also hurts a bit. It's incredible how I can listen to it and say "this song is definitely about this person".
I love Muse even more now.

Muse has such a wonderful pent-up intensity to all of their songs. Only they could take soft and beautiful guitar and lyrics and juxtapose it with vocals full of soul-rending distress and despair.
As always Bellamy throws his whole soul into the song - but it's layed out bare, stripped of all the distortion, violence and anthemic drive of other Muse songs. It manages to isolate and transport the listener from everything else, speaking directly to them.
It's also a great surprise song in the context of the album, reaffirming the continually ground-breaking, imaginative, intelligent and unique approach with everything this band does. I never expected to hear extracts of Rachmaninov in rock songs, or Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet heading up HAARP. It's interesting to listen back to Showbiz and realise that they were brilliant THEN, and have got better.
There are no equals. I remember starting Pandora with a Muse song and it could never 'get' the genre the way it does so well with other songs.
